Theresa I. Djama, DPM, is excited to begin her career in private practice as a podiatrist at Starrett Podiatry. She completed her stint as the chief resident in podiatric medicine and surgery at Beth Israel Mount Sinai Medical Center in June 2018.
Dr. Djama attended New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she was an active member of the college community. Her many extracurriculars included tutoring her fellow students in several classes, participating in the college’s public health club, and serving as a national delegate from the college to the Student National Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Djama has a long history of volunteering and is drawn to podiatry in part because it’s a way to help people. Her volunteer experience includes providing assistance to athletes at the Special Olympics, fitting new cadets at West Point for boots and educating them on proper foot care, and mentoring an incoming podiatric student at NYCPM as part of the college’s Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Dr. Djama is proud to help residents of Harlem and surrounding communities feel their best at Starrett Podiatry.
